The Forum's Night Safari - a midnight carnival

If you are from Bangalore then you would surely know The Forum Mall. For those who do not know, it is a place one can go to for almost anything one wants to buy. The mall has everything from shoes to exercise equipment, from home furnishings to electronic goods, from books to video games. Landmark which houses everything from soft toys to office stationery to CDs, is a prime example of the complete experience that The Forum provides to its visitors.
One can indulge at Transit, KFC, Pizza Hut or the forever crowded Mc Donald's the first one in the South. The transit, in fact, provides Bangaloreans with a never before experience. With its huge food court and eclectic cuisines, it can cater to almost every taste bud in the world. Global brands like Westside, Soch, Isis, Mustard, Weekender, Provogue and Benetton succeed in bringing contemporary world fashions to Bangalore and its beautiful people. The master builders also deserve the credit for being the first ones to bring the world renowned brand of Tommy Hilfiger to South India. The Forum houses a multiplex, PVR, with 11 screens showing the latest movies. The building management systems, close circuit security, computerized parking management systems, ATM machines, 100% generator backup, centralized air conditioning and line-in-music completes the loop, to offer a world-class 'view of the future' ambiance  The popularity of this mall is such that almost all the celebrities who visit the city of Bangalore make it a point to drop in here.

When I first heard about 'The Night Safari' by The Forum Mall I did not expect much as Bangalore sleeps early and usually the shops in the mall close by 9.30-10PM. But this was different. It was a midnight carnival organized by The Forum mall which is the oldest and the first full-fledged mall of Bangalore. This carnival concentrated on Food, shopping and entertainment till midnight. This made the newly extended deadline even more fun.

The mall saw huge crowd to celebrate Bangalore's night life. It was a mini version of Anjuna flea market of Goa. There were stalls selling handicrafts, shawls, imitation jewellery, stall having caricature artist, tattoo artist, nail art artist, mehndi artist, salon kiosk, food stalls, etc which were opened till 12AM. The crowd started coming in way before time. I witnessed the entire midnight carnival and I enjoyed myself a lot.

Most of the shops and stalls had great discounts during the night safari and additional discounts were given for shopping between 9PM-12AM. You always expect crowd when you hear about discount so yes, The Forum Mall was filled with people during the Night Safari. Well, to add to entertainment, selected horror movies were shown at PVR Cinemas at The Forum Mall. Bangalore enjoyed its first ever Night Safari.

For entertainment, there were rappers, beet boxer's and music being played throughout the night outside The Forum Mall and huge crowd gathered to cheer them and have fun too.

Lots of food stalls were opened at The Forum Mall for the Night Safari. Big names like The Paramount restaurant and Shiv Sagar were also present to serve people their delicious delicacies along with other stalls serving delectable rolls, spicy chaats and other flavorsome food like momoz, coorgi cuisine, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, kulfi, mexican and more.

As I walked through the mall, all I could hear was people talking about the carnival and how good they felt about it. I also saw that some people entered the mall at 11.30PM and walked into Reebok showroom, McDonalds, United Colors of Benetton and made their purchases, well not to forget the huge discount provided by the brands. I couldn't resist myself and I used this opportunity of heavy discounts to get my hands on some amazing stuff's for a throw away prices by my favorite brands. I always had a wish of watching a late night show and this night safari gave me an opportunity of watching 'Carrie' movie at PVR Cinemas with my friend's.

All in all, it was a HIT carnival with lots of entertainment, food and shopping. It was a shopoholic's and a foodie's paradise. Night Safari lived up to its theme. Bangalore will surely not mind a Night Safari by The Forum Mall every month. Is Forum Mall listening?? Hope this word comes true and we witness a flea market in Bangalore.
